Organ failure is one of the most
difficult problems for conventional medicine to deal with. However, herbs, acupuncture
and supplements work very well together to stabilize and support the kidneys
and slow down the damage already caused.
In Norman’s case, he needed
a range of interventions. His blood tests revealed a big change in the BUN and
Creatinine levels. A normal BUN (blood urea nitrogen) is 20-33. Norman’s
reading was 81 and his creatinine was 5.1 (base readings are .7 to 1.7). After
a five-day stay in the hospital with daily continuous intravenous fluids, his
BUN went down to 51 and the creatinine to 2.9. Norman had to continue receiving
subcutaneous fluids. His owner didn’t stop there. He was brought in for
weekly acupuncture treatments and had daily herbs.
A month went by and Norman‘s
blood levels were tested again. These readings were even better. BUN 38; creatinine
12.6. Acupuncture was dropped to once a month. Throughout the months I worked
with Norman, his readings continued downward and finally leveled off. Within
a year and a half as my patient, I had to address his anemia, his high blood
pressure, a urinary tract infection and constipation. Norman was a great patient
to work with. With the alternative medicines and treatments, he enjoyed an extended
and comfortable life.
